If you don’t want children to wander from a youth hostel or dormitory, a geofence can be set around them - for example, a 50 metres radius. If the child steps outside this radius, the PSD will notify the relevant phone numbers configured in the PSD phonebook, so allowing a supervisor to call the relevant services.

The software database can be managed in two ways: either by Almon Solutions Ltd’s alarm monitoring centre or by the purchase of software licensing to manage the database locally on a workstation. Both management solutions have their benefits. If management is carried out by Almon Solutions Ltd, a 24hr/365 days per year service will be available, along with immediate response to the relevant contacts, together with the user ID and the exact position and speed of the user. If management is carried out locally, access to the database is available on a server.
